After completing an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in Switzerland, Julien Egger won first prize in a design competition, which earned him a full scholarship to the renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Upon earning a B.Sc. (Hons) in Industrial Design in 1998, Julien chose to build his career in California, where for over twenty years he has collaborated closely with a variety of design consultancies and manufacturers.

Julien’s professional journey encompasses a diverse array of projects, ranging from consumer goods and furniture to innovative interior design and mobility solutions. With each new challenge, Julien brings a fresh perspective, treating every project as an opportunity to develop solutions that are not only necessary and desirable but also original, sustainable, and commercially viable. This forward-thinking methodology has repeatedly enabled him to excel, even when tackling product categories that are entirely new to his studio.
